Its that time of year again when we all reflect on the last 12 months and start looking forward to the new year ahead.
‘How has your year been?’, ‘has it been a good one?’, ‘what are your plans for 2016?’. These questions are all the rage at this time of year. Isn’t it funny how January 1st is just another day, yet it brings with it such hope for a new start and a clean slate?
Don’t get me wrong; I’m not meaning to sound like the New Year scrooge. It is a great time to think about your life and revaluate, but I just hope you do this with a positive slant rather than trying to wipe the slate clean and start again. I’m much more of the thinking that right now is a better time than any to make a change rather than waiting until the start of a new year.
Anyway, if I’m going to reflect on my year, I’ll start with TwoScots. We are delighted with the internal retention we have had in 2016, as well as the exceptional growth within all three of our divisions. We have managed to secure a number of exciting client PSA’s as well as continuing to develop many of our already existing client partnerships. We have had a strong focus internally to ensure an exceptional level of candidate care throughout and we hope to continue to strive for excellence in 2016.
Our internal team and culture has been fantastic and with this came multiple team lunches and dinners, trips to the tennis and wineries, an interstate all inclusive team weekend away in Sydney as well as game-show afternoons, MasterChef battles and much much more. The incredible team, who are united and committed to the success and growth of TwoScots, deserve a lot of recognition for their fantastic work.
Here at TwoScots we also love to take care of our clients and so we have had a number of exciting events including our first TwoScots Golf Day and our breakfast with world record breaking explorers, Cas & Jonesy, at Crown, which was attended by 160+ clients. A great morning was had by all and I know we all took away some brilliant lessons to think about.
I know 2016 will bring with it more positive changes at TwoScots. Already we have a number of new consultants joining our teams and we are in the process of moving into a great new office on Collins Street in February – feel free to pop in once we move.
In regards to personal reflection, it’s been a good year. With a 2-year-old daughter and a baby who is due to make an appearance any day now, life has been very family focused. By the time 2016 arrives, I’ll be assisting with the challenge of looking after a new born, so if we don’t chat before then, have a great new year and we’ll chat in January about your plans…!?
