ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client a seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Officer to join an education company based in East Melbourne. The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing the organisation's accounts with specific attention to reconciliations and general ledger accounts.
This role is a part time role - 3 days a week on a 6 week basis with potential to extend.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day financial transactions, such as invoicing, payments, and receipts.
- End of month reconciliations
- Clearing Accounts and credit card statement and enter transactions into General Ledger
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank statements.
- Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and supplier accounts, ensuring accuracy.
- Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring they align with budgets and policies.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and quarterly statements.
- Communicate with suppliers and customers to manage accounts, resolve payment issues, and process transactions.
Skills and Experience
- 2 years + experience working in an Accounts Officer or similar role
- Intermediate excel skills are desired.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and payments.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for vendor interactions and internal communication.
- Proven ability to work with external stakeholders with excellent customer service skills
