With that front of mind, we're on the lookout for an Assistant Accountant to join the team on a 2-3 month opportunity with potential to extend.
Please note this role is full time in the office with potential for some flexibility once fully trained.

Duties:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Process daily bank transactions, including uploads, allocations, and reconciliations
- Prepare and post journals (accruals, prepayments, adjustments, and corrections)
- Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and selected account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close activities, including variance analysis and reporting support
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes as required
- Investigate and resolve ledger discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist with preparation of financial reports for management review
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of five years of experience, but CPA certification not required
- Familiarity with systems such as Jedox and ERP systems would be beneficial
- Strong focus on customer service
- Proven ability to develop effective partnerships to proactively find solutions and efficiencies in processes
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work well within a team environment
