Are you an Assistant Accountant with around 2 years' experience looking to take the next step in your career within a supportive and collaborative environment? We're partnering with a well-established business in Epping that is seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting who is looking to further develop their skills. You'll bring strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a desire to build a long-term career in finance. Working closely with a friendly and experienced team, you'll gain hands-on exposure across accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month-end support, and broader financial reporting.
Please note this role is 5 days in the office.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting with day‑to‑day accounting tasks and basic bookkeeping
- Processing invoices, reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting the finance team with month‑end tasks and general reporting
- Updating and maintaining financial data with strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and supporting ad-hoc finance duties as required
What we're looking for:
- Completed degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Basic bookkeeping or exposure to financial processes (university, internship or work experience)
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with numbers
- Experience with Xero is highly regarded
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and interest in developing your accounting career
