ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to a Senior Finance Manager, this Finance Analyst role will focus on detailed analysis of labour, payroll, and plant equipment costs, playing a crucial role in resource planning and operational decision-making.
The position is highly data-driven, requiring advanced Excel skills and the ability to work closely with operational teams across VIC, QLD, and NSW. You'll also partner with payroll to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for efficiency, and provide critical reporting to guide business planning.
DUTIES

Analyse and report on labour, payroll, and plant/equipment costs

Partner with operational and resource coordination teams across multiple states

Prepare and maintain data models to support decision-making

Assist in payroll-related reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with EBAs and allowances

Provide business partnering support to stakeholders at all levels

Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes, including journals

Assist with ad hoc project accounting and large-scale operational projects
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Strong financial analysis skills with advanced Excel capability

Exposure to payroll, EBAs, and allowances preferred

Data modelling and BI tool exposure beneficial (training provided if needed)

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems desirable

Willingness to work in a hands-on, detail-oriented role while building broader commercial skills

CA/CPA qualified or working towards (support available)
