About the Company:
We're partnering with a complex Melbourne-based organisation experiencing acquisitional growth. As part of this, the business is undertaking significant payroll, HRIS, and time & attendance data migration projects to consolidate systems and ensure accuracy across a complex workforce. With a collaborative and supportive culture, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager, on a twelve-month FTC, to lead these initiatives and deliver seamless integration outcomes.

About the Role:
This newly created role will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of payroll, HRIS, and time & attendance data migration projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data, managing system integrations, and configuring employee-facing changes to deliver a seamless outcome. Leading a project team, you'll work cohesively with stakeholders across the business to ensure objectives are met and the project is delivered successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project planning and coordination across payroll, HRIS, and time & attendance systems
- Manage and guide a project team of 3-4, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Oversee data migration and system integration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and minimal disruption
- Develop and implement business cases to support project initiatives and decision-making
- Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver project milestones
- Build frameworks and processes to ensure ongoing governance and efficiency post-implementation
- Apply change management strategies to ensure adoption and engagement across the business
Skills and Experience:
- Proven project management experience in large, complex organisations
- Demonstrated success leading multi-system data migrations and HRIS/payroll integrations
- Strong understanding of the full employee lifecycle and related processes
- Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, EBAs, awards, and compliance requirements
- Excellent change management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement
- Experience leading teams and driving cohesive project outcomes
