The Overview
We're partnering with a respected national organisation to recruit an experienced Payroll Analyst to support critical payroll remediation and reconciliation projects. This hands-on role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work through complex payroll data to ensure complete accuracy and compliance. You'll work closely with Payroll, HR, and Finance teams to review, reconcile, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
What You'll Do
- Perform manual payroll reconciliations and ensure all pay data aligns across systems.
- Work through large data sets and temporary payroll records to identify and correct errors.
- Manage and interpret Time & Attendanceand roster data.
- Review and reconcile codes, payment methods, and superannuation contributions.
- Investigate discrepancies and apply an analytical, investigative mindset to resolve issues.
- Interpret EBAs and Awards to verify correct pay outcomes.
- Support payroll remediation projects ensuring all claims are validated and compliant.
- Manage and resolve dispute and claim investigations efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records and reconciliation documentation.
- Work through a long list of remediation tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all pay types.
What They're Looking For
- Proven experience in payroll analysis, reconciliation, or remediation.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of EBAs, Awards, and payroll legislation.
- Ability to reconcile complex payroll data and identify inconsistencies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and a proactive, investigative approach.
