We're proud to be partnering with a well-established logistics business in the search for a skilled Payroll Officer.
You'll be working closely with the HR team to drive the payroll function of this business. This is a fantastic opportunity to take your payroll career to the next level!
About the Role:
- Collaborate with a payroll vendor to ensure accurate and timely fortnightly payroll processing
- Respond to employee and manager queries regarding payroll, leave and benefits
- Assist with the preparation of year-end payroll reports and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identify risks and drive improvements in payroll processes
- Process complex terminations, back pays, salary increases, commission payments
- Ensure timesheets are processed by managers in a timely manner in line with payroll timelines
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee details, leave balances, and pay adjustments
- HR administration duties as required
Skills and Experience:
- Previous payroll experience in a similar end-to-end role is essential
- Exposure to payroll and HR systems
- Experience with award interpretation is required
- In-depth understanding of payroll legislation and processes
- Exceptional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines independently
