Known for their collaborative and people-focused culture, they're looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead their payroll function. This role reports into Finance while working very closely with the People & Culture team.

About the Role:
In this role, you'll manage the end-to-end payroll for a workforce of under 1,000 employees, ensuring payroll is delivered accurately, compliantly, and on time. Leading a team of two, you'll balance hands-on involvement with strategic oversight, while collaborating with Finance and People & Culture to continuously improve payroll processes and employee experience.Duties:
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring compliance and accuracy across multiple EBAs and awards
- Lead and develop a payroll team of two, fostering collaboration and growth
- Partner closely with Finance and People & Culture on reporting, audits, and payroll initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness
- Leverage payroll, HRIS, and time & attendance systems to optimise processes
- Provide expert payroll advice and handle escalated queries
Skills and Experience:
- Strong background in managing complex payroll environments
- Proven knowledge of multiple EBAs, awards, and compliance requirements
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a payroll team
- Systems-savvy, with experience across payroll, HRIS, and time & attendance platforms
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to drive improvements and manage change
