About the Company:
We are delighted to be partnering with a leading global consulting and IT solutions firm for this Payroll Officer. This is a unique opportunity to join a close knit team on a 12 month fixed term contract initially.
About the Role:
- Prepare, process, and reconcile end-to-end payroll on a [weekly/fortnightly/monthly] basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation and company policies.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, leave entitlements, and salary changes.
- Calculate and process superannuation, salary packaging (e.g., novated leases), and other payroll deductions.
- Ensure payroll activities comply with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll-related reporting including PAYG, superannuation, Single Touch Payroll (STP), and year-end reporting
- Respond to employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
Skills and Experience
- Previous payroll experience in a similar end to end role is essential.
- Exposure to high-volume payroll system, preferably using iChris
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation requirements, superannuation, and employment law.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage deadlines effectively
- Exceptional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to deal with high pressure and work to tight deadlines whilst working independently.
