Senior Accounts Payable Officer - 18‑Month FTC

We're partnering with a leading organisation in the FMCG/retail space to recruit a Senior Accounts Payable Officer for an 18‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys a mix of technical AP work, problem solving, and collaboration across the business.
You'll be joining a high‑performing finance team, taking ownership of a busy AP function with exposure to international suppliers, inventory, warehousing, and a complex ERP environment.
What you'll be doing:
- End‑to‑end Accounts Payable across high‑volume suppliers
- Managing FX invoices and international vendor payments
- Working closely with inventory teams and warehouses to resolve discrepancies
- Handling GRNI / pre‑payment of stock and reconciling stock‑related transactions
- Supporting system testing, process improvements, and updates in a large ERP
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders across supply chain, finance, and operations
- Assisting and stepping in for the AP Team Lead when needed
- Ensuring accurate month‑end cut‑offs, accruals, and reporting
What we're looking for:
- Strong end‑to‑end AP experience in a complex environment
- Experience working with FX, stock/inventory invoicing and GRNI
- Comfortable working with warehouses, supply chain, and internal stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills - able to explain issues and collaborate effectively
- Experience in a large ERP (SAP, Oracle, D365, JDE or similar)
- Someone proactive, organised, and confident managing competing priorities
- Ability to step up and support leadership when required
