About the role
Reporting to a highly supportive Payroll Manager, this position will see you responsible for processing complex, end-to-end payroll while also contributing to projects as required. This role is well suited to a detail oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and is motivated to deliver accurate payroll outcomes.
Duties:
* Process end-to-end payroll in a high volume environment
* Manage leave calculations including Long Service Leave, maternity and parental leave
* Utilise payroll systems effectively to ensure efficient processing
* Interpret complex EBAs and Awards
* Process terminations and redundancy payments
* Provide a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders
* Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and employees regarding payroll matters
* Manage payroll related queries and maintain the payroll inbox
Skills and Experience
* Experience working within a complex, high volume payroll environment
* Experience using large payroll systems such as Chris21 or SAP will be highly regarded
* Strong end-to-end payroll processing experience including superannuation and taxation
* Solid understanding of EBAs and Awards interpretation
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a strong customer service focus
* Proven ability to build effective working relationships and identify process improvements
* Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines effectively
