I'm partnering with a well-established organisation based in Melbourne CBD who is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team on a permanent part-time basis. About the Role:
This role is perfect for a senior-level payroll professional who thrives in a hands-on role and enjoys being involved in more than just the day-to-day processing. You will be responsible for managing full-function payroll as well as supporting EOFY, audits, and system/process enhancements.
- Run full end-to-end payroll across multiple pay cycles
- Perform EOFY processes including reconciliations and reporting
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Support payroll system implementation and process improvements
- Interpret complex EBAs and awards with accuracy
- Manage superannuation, PAYG, and tax compliance
- Respond to payroll queries and provide guidance to stakeholders
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in a senior or full-function payroll role
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and EBAs
- Proven experience with EOFY processing, audits, and reconciliations
- Confident with payroll systems - experience with Chris21, Preceda, or similar is ideal
- High level of accuracy, initiative, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously
