Test Lead - Transformation (UKG)
Long-Term Consulting Engagement | $1000 per day | Enterprise Program
An established consulting business is seeking an experienced Test Lead to join a major enterprise transformation program. This is a long-term contract opportunity where you will play a key role in delivering a complex UKG implementation across multiple sites.
Working within a collaborative consulting environment, you will lead end-to-end testing while partnering closely with stakeholders, delivery teams and vendors to ensure high-quality outcomes. This role offers strong autonomy, exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to shape testing practices across a significant transformation.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of testing for a UKG implementation while also contributing to broader initiatives across enterprise systems and data platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working across both strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end testing lifecycle across SIT, Integration, UAT, Regression and Payroll Parallel phases
- Develop and implement pragmatic test strategies aligned to delivery milestones
- Coordinate testing activities across internal teams, consulting partners and technology vendors
- Oversee test planning, scheduling and resource allocation in a multi-stream program
- Monitor quality metrics, defects and risks, providing clear and concise reporting to stakeholders
- Drive release readiness and support go-live planning activities
- Ensure effective coverage across functional, integration and data migration components
- Partner with Product Owners, SMEs and Solution Architects to embed quality throughout delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve testing frameworks, tooling and automation adoption
- Support governance forums and contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices
About You
- Proven experience as a Test Lead or Test Manager within large-scale transformation programs
- Strong experience delivering UKG implementations is essential
- Demonstrated knowledge of HRIS and payroll-related integrations within UKG environments
- Hands-on approach with the ability to operate strategically and tactically
- Experience working in complex, multi-vendor delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and confidence working with senior leadership
- Solid experience with test and defect management tools
- Exposure to test automation or modern testing approaches is advantageous
- Australian permanent residency or citizenship required
