Payroll Officers - Multiple Temporary Opportunities

About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager or Payroll Team Leader, you will support accurate and timely payroll processing within a high volume environment. Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may cover end-to-end payroll or a specialised area of the payroll function.

Duties

• Maintaining employee records, new starters, variations and terminations
• Reviewing timesheets, leave, allowances and deductions
• Calculating superannuation, back pay and termination payments
• Responding to employee payroll queries
• Interpreting relevant Awards, EBAs and payroll legislation
• Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies
• Supporting month-end and year-end payroll activities
• Working closely with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a high volume payroll environment
• Experience using Dayforce, SAP or Chris21 is highly regarded
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation
• Exposure to Awards and EBAs
• Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Confident communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to meet deadlines within a fast paced environment
