This organisation is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a 9 month contract, who pride themselves on strong work culture and encourage you to progress and develop from within the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Manage end-to-end invoice processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely approvals through the Esker Procure-to-Pay system
  • Coordinate and execute vendor payments across domestic and international suppliers, including multi-currency transactions
  • Perform regular reconciliations of Accounts Payable ledgers against supplier statements, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Investigate and resolve purchase order variances to minimise aged items and maintain clean ledgers
  • Act as the first point of contact for supplier queries, delivering prompt and professional resolutions
  • Support month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements
  • Assist with expense management processes and employee reimbursements
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and support continuous improvement within AP processes

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE.

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar Accounts Payable or finance role
  • Strong end-to-end Accounts Payable experience, including high-volume invoice and payment processing
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to confidently manipulate and analyse data
  • Experience working within Manufacturing, Retail, or Wholesale Distribution environments highly regarded
  • Solid understanding of purchase order and non-purchase order invoice processing
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
