ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the GM - Finance, this Finance Manager role will be responsible for leading key financial accounting, reporting and control activities across the finance division.
You will manage 3 direct reports and work as part of a broader finance team, while also supporting a small team in New Zealand. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong technical accounting capability, leadership experience and the confidence to operate as a senior member of the finance team.
DUTIES
* Act as the 2IC to the GM - Finance
* Lead, mentor and support 3 direct reports
* Oversee month-end reporting, financial accounting and management reporting deliverables
* Review balance sheet reconciliations, journals and month-end outputs
* Support the wider team across reporting, analysis, controls and process improvement
* Partner with internal stakeholders across finance and operations
* Provide technical accounting support and guidance to the team
* Support audit, compliance and statutory reporting requirements
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Strong financial accounting and reporting experience within a complex business
* Previous leadership experience, ideally managing direct reports
* Big 4 background highly regarded
* Strong industry experience essential
* CA or CPA qualified preferred
* Strong technical accounting skills
* Experience in a large corporate, ASX-listed, multi-site or retail environment advantageous
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Hands-on, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
