Accounts Receivable Project Lead
Salary: Up to $125,000 + Superannuation
12 month Fixed Term Contract (potential for it to be extended)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable Accounts Receivable Project Lead to drive the successful delivery of a critical finance systems transformation project. This role will sit at the intersection of Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations, and Technology, ensuring key projects are aligned, delivered effectively, and support the future-state AR function.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong Accounts Receivable or Operational Finance background who has hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) implementations and enjoys managing projects, coordinating stakeholders, and translating business requirements into practical outcomes.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, project teams, software engineers, and external vendors to lead the rollout and optimisation of D365 Credit & Collections while supporting the transition of billing systems and ensuring projects remain connected and aligned.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with key business stakeholders to develop and execute detailed project plans.
- Lead the implementation and optimisation of the D365 Credit & Collections module.
- Act as the primary coordinator between Finance, Accounts Receivable, IT, software engineering teams, and external vendors.
- Support the integration of billing processes between existing and future systems.
- Attend project meetings, capture key decisions, actions, and risks, and drive follow-up activities through to completion.
- Ensure project milestones are delivered on time and stakeholders remain informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide an operational AR perspective to project decisions, ensuring solutions support efficient collections, invoicing, and customer account management processes.
- Work collaboratively with the D365 team, implementation partners, and the project delivery team to resolve issues and remove roadblocks.
- Support process mapping, requirements gathering, testing, user adoption, and change management activities.
- Connect and align multiple concurrent projects to ensure seamless end-to-end finance operations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, particularly within Finance and/or Accounts Receivable.
- Proven experience participating in or leading system implementations, upgrades, or transformation projects.
- A solid understanding of Accounts Receivable, Credit, Collections, Billing, and Operational Finance processes.
- The ability to confidently engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project coordination or project management experience.
- Experience documenting requirements, tracking actions, managing stakeholders, and driving outcomes.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- The ability to work effectively across Finance, IT, software engineering, and vendor teams.
