About the Role

As a Payroll Officer, you will report to the Payroll Manager or Payroll Team Leader and play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll. Opportunities range from standalone payroll positions through to large team environments, with responsibilities including:

Duties

  • End-to-end payroll processing
  • Processing new starters, terminations and employee variations
  • Managing leave calculations including annual leave, personal leave and long service leave
  • Interpreting Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
  • Responding to payroll enquiries and managing payroll inboxes
  • Maintaining employee records and ensuring payroll compliance
  • Providing exceptional customer service to employees and stakeholders

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in medium to large payroll environments
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation
  • Expereince interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Exposure to large payroll systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
